Submission Categories

Following the established EMISA tradition, the workshop will invite submissions in the following categories:

Novel Directions
Short papers (up to 6 pages) presenting novel and visionary research ideas, emerging topics, and new research agendas.
PhD Research Proposals
Short papers (up to 5 pages) describing ongoing PhD theses — motivation, goals, status, and future plans.
Current Research Talks
Extended abstracts (up to 2 pages) for talks on work already published or accepted at international venues, submitted for broader community discussion.
Idea Talk Proposals
Proposals (short paper of up to 2 pages) for short talks that present a visionary research idea, which might not be fully fleshed out yet, with the goal of receiving feedback on how to further develop that idea.

Topics of Interest

EMISA 2027 is open to a broad range of subjects related to enterprise modeling and the design of information system architectures. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

Enterprise architecture and modeling languages
Business process modeling and management
Model-driven information systems engineering
Requirements engineering for information systems
Service-oriented and microservice architectures
AI and machine learning in IS design
Digital transformation and IS evolution
Compliance, security, and privacy by design
Cyber-physical systems and IoT architectures
Domain-specific modeling for enterprises
Collaborative and participatory IS design
Evaluation methods for enterprise models

Publication

Accepted papers will be published in the GI Lecture Notes in Informatics (LNI) series.
