17th International Workshop

Enterprise Modeling and
Information Systems Architectures

May 13–14, 2027  ·  Aachen, Germany

Welcome to EMISA 2027

The 17th International Workshop on Enterprise Modeling and Information Systems Architectures (EMISA 2027) will be held on May 13 and 14, 2027, in Aachen, Germany. The workshop is organized by the Software Architecture Research Group (Prof. Dr. Ronny Seiger) at RWTH Aachen University, under the auspices of the GI Special Interest Group on Design Methods for Information Systems (GI Fachgruppe EMISA).

EMISA is a key forum for researchers and practitioners working on design methods for information systems. The workshop series emphasizes the need for a coherent, integrated view of enterprises — covering value propositions, business services, business processes, business rules, information systems, and IT infrastructures — together with cross-cutting concerns such as security, privacy, and compliance, across all stakeholders.

More details on the scientific program, submission guidelines, and registration will be announced here in the coming months. If you have questions in the meantime, please contact the main organizer: Prof. Dr. Ronny Seiger at RWTH Aachen University.

About the EMISA Workshop Series

The EMISA workshop series has been organized by the GI Special Interest Group on Design Methods for Information Systems (GI-SIG EMISA) since the early 2000s, bringing together researchers and practitioners from information systems, computer science, and business informatics. The series rotates across German-speaking institutions and partner universities, and its proceedings are published in the GI Lecture Notes in Informatics (LNI) series.

EMISA 2027 is the 17th edition of this international workshop and will be the first time the event is hosted in Aachen — the historic city where Charlemagne held court and which today is home to one of Europe's leading technical universities.
